Disney Dream

Everyone is talking about it, and they should!! I had the honor of sailing on the second voyage of this amazing ship. I don't want to give away all of the secrets so I will just tell you enough to make you want to sail on this Dream! Yes it is a large ship, I believe it will hold 4,000 guests, it is full of fun stuff for the kids, all of the clubs, mini golf, aqua duck, sports, movies, I think you get the idea, the kids will love it! But what about the adults will they endure the torture for the sake of the kids? Well if eating chocolate covered strawberries while sipping a latte is torture, sign me up. And of course that was just one of my favorites! I did spend most of my off time in the adults only area, along with most of the parents! And if you are going with a family for example a family trip, you will not be bored they make sure everyone is having fun. I have to mention Castaway Cay, everyone loves this place, including me!! Barcelo Tropical and Colonial

Our family had an awesome New Year's, we spent it at the Barcelo Colonial. It was a great resort, so if you are thinking of heading off to a warm vacation give me a call. This resort has it all. First, ocean and beach are amazing, wear your water shoes. Pool was alittle chilly, but they have a great little waterpark for the kids. I wish mine were alittle smaller I would have looked alittle weird trying to get my 13 year old to go down the slide! Food was great, loved the Italian, kids loved the Asian, we enjoyed every meal. The resort was full so yes we did have to wait in line for drinks, no worries we were enjoying the sun and having fun. Call for details.

Disney Dream

I am so excited to be able to tell all of my clients that I will be sailing on the second voyage of the Disney Dream!! This is very exciting as I have written these cruises are a hot seller. I will leave on the 29th of Jan and spend my first night at Disney World, then off to explore the Dream. I plan to take my laptop and post updates when I can. Mayan Adventures

Hi I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Well the weather is getting colder so I hope you are thinking VACATION!!

I am thinking about all the adventures my clients can have in Rivera Maya. I have spent alot of time in this area. It is one of my favorite spots because it is easy to get to and we can get some pretty good prices. So this year I am traveling with the family so paying for tours can get pretty expensive. So using my experience I am putting together some of our own tours, you can do the same. For example we plan to take a taxi to Akumal, and go snorkeling in the lagoon, we did that last year, so much fun!!

Then I plan to taxi to at least one cenote, don't know what a cenote is well check out www.vacationsrspecialtravel.com/mayanadv.htm you will learn about cenotes, ruins, and more! I also plan to take the kids to Tulum ruins, after all it is great to learn about the Mayans!! If you haven't booked your trip, give me a call. Try Two!

Try Two--what?
Well I am talking about clients that are lucky enough to have more than a week to travel, and when airfare to Cancun is $300 per person roundtrip from MSP so why not stay for 10 days or more. I have several clients that decide to enjoy two resorts while on vacation. This is a great idea, especially if you are traveling with friends then everyone is happy. For example, I would recommend this to a client that calls requesting a trip that maybe was 8 days or more, but no magic number, anyone can do this. I would then arrange air and a resort, we all know transfers are included when I quote the trip, so you take a taxi to your second resort and return transfer to airport is included. If you have ever stayed in one resort for a week you know the food gets alittle boring, so why not go to two resorts. So let me know if you are a lucky client with lots of vacation time!
And remember you do not have to be from Minnesota to enjoy these hot deals!!

I should say last week, but what has been booking and getting alot of interest is the new Disney cruise ship the Dream. This is a great vacation, and the kids will love it, and yes the adults will too. I went on a Disney cruise a few years ago with my husband, we had a blast so what a great family reunion trip, a vacation everyone will love. So if you are interested please give me a call

A few of my favorites

This week I would like to talk about some of my favorite resorts they are mostly in Mexico but I have one in Punta Cana also.
At the top of the list would have to be the Iberostar Grand Bravo in Punta Cana, I was able to celebrate my anniversary there this past May, it was amazing. Not sure where to begin but have to comment on the staff they would sit with you daily and get to know you, which is great. Food was amazing!!! How would you like to enjoy lobster for lunch every day, just ask my husband he did!! I was attending a learning conference in Punta Cana when we went to this resort for a site inspection. I fell in love with it, this would be an amazing resort for an adults only wedding or vow renewal. We had a butler to make our dinner reservation and with a phone call you could arrange a bubble bath complete with a bottle of "bubbly" this is a must. The spa was great too we enjoyed a couples massage, my husbands first, we had a communication issue so he got a deep tissue massage OUCH!! I was unsure going in May but the weather was beautiful. I do not want to give away all of their secrets but if you want luxury you must check this out. Punta Cana is a great location if you are looking for something different. This was my 4th trip to Punta Cana and it renewed my interest in this destination. If you have been to this resort I would love comments, and next I will talk about the Barcelo Resorts in Rivera Maya Mexico!

Now how many people do you need to call yourself a group? I always say 4-6 people are a group, they can be a group of friends traveling together or a family reunion. Of course if you are not local I can put together a powerpoint presentation and send that to you.
My goal in working with groups is to make sure the lead of the group does not go crazy with details, I am the groups go to person and will help with whatever you need.

2011 Mexico Prices

Mexico 2011 prices are out and from MSP you can pick up some great pricing. Today I quoted Riu Playacar in Playa Del Carmen at $1200 per person for 7 nights all inclusive plus non stop air!! Don't forget if you are not from MSP not an issue I book clients from all over the USA. The Riu Playacar is a very nice resort with a recently renovated beach. These are great prices so if you would like to travel with friends or family you can't beat this price. I have alot of experience booking Mexico as it is a favorite destination. But can you guess why I love Mexico for myself and my clients? I would love to hear your response and I will let you know soon why I love Mexico!!

Time to start thinking about your next vacation

It is hard to believe that now is the time to start thinking about a warm weather vacation. But prices are out and looking pretty good. I have found that my clients that book in Sept, Oct and even early November get the best prices. Many resorts offer early booking discounts, I travel with a group of friends and we booked in November the friend that booked in October got the best price. So if you are thinking about a group trip, give me an email or call because it is not too early. I will research a few destinations and resorts and put it on my website for your friends to view. This makes the decision process alot easier. I am already giving quotes for 2011 warm weather destinations because we all know come January it will be cold here in Minnesota!!
